Welcome to the proposed 2025 - 2026 Season of the SWLC.
We meet at the Mercure Hotel in Sheffield city centre.
The committee hopes you will enjoy this spacious and friendly venue.
LECTURES:
These are held on the first Friday of the month from October to May.
MEMBERS’ LUNCHES:
COST:
Member’s extra lunch - £29.00.
Visitor’s lunch and lecture - £38.00.
Visitor’s lecture only - £18.
Please include a cheque, or pay by BACS, and send your correctly
dated postcard, including date of BACS transfer, to our Luncheon Secretary.
TABLE BOOKINGS:
Please book your table on arrival BEFORE registration.
LUNCH REGISTERS:
Registers open at 11am.
To comply with Health and Safety regulations, please only register if you are
staying in the building after booking your table.
Table plans and registers can be found in the lobby to the dining room.
Please be seated at your table by 12 noon.
LECTURE ONLY REGISTERS:
The doors will be opened, by a Committee Member. at 1.30pm.
Lectures begin at 2.00pm.
There will be no admittance to the dining room until after coffee has been served.
Ample seating is provided to avoid queuing for the lecture.
VISITORS:
A member may bring a visitor to any or all of the meetings,
but the same person may only come to the Club as a visitor on two occasions during the Season.
ATTENDANCE AT LECTURES:
In accordance with Club Rules, members are expected to attend at least three meetings during the Season.
If this is difficult for you, please inform the Membership Secretary who will be happy to help and
also deals with changes of address and application forms for membership of the Club.
The Club takes no responsibility for the security of personal belongings
brought to the luncheons or lectures.
We will advise you by email if a lecture/lunch has to be cancelled in the event of bad weather.
The Committee very much appreciates your help and co-operation towards the smooth running of the Club.
